About
I'm a mechanical design engineer and team lead based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, with 12 years of experience in CAD, engineering, data management and automation. I've spent that time designing production parts for the automotive industry, from plastic injection molded components to die casting, sheet metal and composites, in CATIA and a range of other CAD platforms.
Leading a team of engineers taught me that most delays aren't caused by hard engineering problems. They come from messy data, inconsistent methods and repetitive manual work. That's what Datum Consulting fixes.
I've been using and integrating AI in engineering work since the first generative AI tools appeared, and I build my own engineering tools in Python and C#. Alongside consulting, I'm pursuing a PhD in additive manufacturing and composites, so I bring both the designer's view and the automation mindset.
